The official sign of les Fleurons du Québec

Kalitec is proud to mention its partnership with La Corporation des Fleurons du Québec. This agreement has allowed municipalities to purchase esthetic signage products of top quality, while proudly displaying their achievements and those of their citizens in the field of horticultural beautification. Les Fleurons awarded (from 1 to 5) procure each participating municipality, a valuable recognition whose economic, social and environmental consequences cannot be denied.
  1. Principles of utilization of the official signage
    The official signage of Les Fleurons du Québec must be uniform right across the province of Quebec. In the interest of the Fleurons program and of all the municipalities and boroughs recognized as "Fleurons du Québec," the integrity of the image and the official character of an attestation of classification must be protected.


  2. Objectives of utilization
    The use of an official panel by a municipality allows it to display its Fleurons du Québec classification at its point of entry. By using the official signage, the municipality is identifying itself with Les Fleurons du Québec and informing visitors of its level or horticultural beautification.

Commitments on the part of Kalitec

Kalitec is committed to:

  • Respecting the specificities in design and production of the different components of the signage structure belonging to the horticultural classification of Les Fleurons du Québec.

    Regarding the materials:
    - Panels with two (2) bars of reinforcement behind and Royal Blue electrostatic paint with the logo of Les Fleurons on the front, as well as the number of Fleurons attributed to the municipality and the year of recognition, all on engineer-grade vinyl.
    - 2,700 or 3,000 mm (by 50 mm diameter) elliptical posts in hot-dip galvanized steel coated with Royal Blue electrostatic paint.
    - Bar brackets to lock the panel bars to the posts with Royal Blue electrostatic paint.900 mm steel anchors and breakable pins.
  • Offering without cost, as a sponsor, to each municipality having obtained a horticultural classification from Les Fleurons du Québec and which desires it, one (1) complete structure for an official sign including a panel of 600 x 600 mm, a post of 2700 mm, brackets, a 900 mm steel anchor and a breakable pin.
  • Offering for the year 2011, to each municipality having obtained a horticultural classification from Les Fleurons du Québec, the following rates for each complete structure, before taxes and transport:
    - Panel of 300 x 300 mm (to be displayed on the wall of municipal buildings): $45 per panel
    - Structure of 600 x 600 mm (50 km/h speed limit): $235 per structure
    - Structure of 750 x 750 mm on 1 post (70 km/h speed limit and light wind zone): $295 per structure
    - Structure de 750 x 750 mm on 2 posts (70 km/h speed limit and medium to strong wind zone): $455 per structure
    - Structure of 900 x 900 mm (90 km/h speed limit): $495 per structure
  • Supplying free of charge the vinyl transfers with new Fleurons (if required) and the new year of recognition to all municipalities having previously ordered signage structures in a previous year. Commitments on the part of the municipality

In a case in which a municipality accepts sponsorship by Kalitec, meaning one complete signage structure, it then agrees to order any further structure from Kalitec exclusively. This can be done by using this order form. A municipality which has benefited from this sponsorship in a previous year is no longer eligible.
